01 This changes what we can do. A charity generally cannot grant cash to a for-profit business, so businesses go to recognition, airtime and donated services rather than a check.

03 A phone number, an email, a LinkedIn URL, an Instagram handle, or where they work — any one of these. We will not contact them yet. We ask because two people can share a name and one person can be spelled four ways, and a nomination we cannot tell apart from someone else's is one we cannot act on.

07 Optional. One story lands harder than a summary — it can be your own.
08 Be as specific as you can — a repair, a bill, an amount. Specific needs get funded; general ones stall. A rough guess beats no number.
09 An eviction next Friday should not wait behind a queue.
10 So we can check you are a real person, count you once, and write back either way. You can stay anonymous to the person you are nominating — never to us.

What happens next, honestlyThis stays private. They will not hear from us today and nothing about them goes on this site. If twelve people independently nominate the same person, a staff member reviews it and verifies the need. Twelve is not a guarantee of funding. If it clears review we write to them and ask whether they want our help at all — and separately, much later, whether we may tell their story. If nothing happens within 90 days we will close it and tell you why.
